TiVo is digital video recording device that hooks up to your television to digitally record programs. Much like its predecessor, the VCR, but TiVo does not require the use of any video tapes. TiVo has an internal hard drive much like your home computer that can store hours and hours of programming. TiVo can also be used with your home cable or direct tv satellite system as well. Some great features of the TiVo system is the ability to actually pause live television shows while you are watching them. This is a great feature for dealing with those unexpected interruptions or phone calls. The TiVo system is very easy to set up and easy to program.
TiVo can be hooked up to your home phone line or home computer network to stay up to date on program guides and changes to the television schedule. Another great feature of TiVo is the ability to transfer your recordings via a network connection right over to your home computer or laptop. Also the ability to easily fast forward through commercials makes watching recorded shows and movies more time efficient. You may pay for the TiVo service on a monthly basis for: three years at $12.95 per month; two years at $14.95 per month; or one year at $16.95 per month. Promotional pricing may also be available from time-to-time.
The TiVo service can keep track of the latest television schedule, and can automatically record every episode of your favorite television shows, even if the time or day the program is to air changes. All you have do is find the television show that you want by searching or browsing the listings, and then specify whether or not you want to record all of the episodes or just the newer ones. This feature is called the season pass. TiVo is great for a woman on the go who wants to keep up with her soaps or a man that may miss his favorite team's game. There are no limits for the TiVo as long as you can already view the channel through your current system. TiVo will change the way you watch television and will actually save you time as well. I highly suggest that every home has at least one TiVo in the household.
David is a proud tivo series 2 owner and uses it daily. David also enjoys collecting Kiss trading cards and organizing his Hot Wheels for sale.
